What’s up, guys!
I’m chad baer.
I've been where you are — working hard but wondering where the hell it all goes at the end of the month. That stress of feeling like you should have your financial act together but somehow don't? It's real. And it's exactly why I became a financial coach focused on helping people build better money habits in themselves and their families.
I'm glad you're here.
MY STORY
My name is Chad Baer, and I'm the founder of Future Proof Financial Coaching. I'm a husband, father of two, and a guy who learned the hard way that making good money and managing it well are two completely different skills.

My wife and I were living the American dream — a business with good income, a nice house, never missing bills. But at the end of every month, we were scratching our heads wondering where all that money actually went. We had nothing to show for years of hard work. Sound familiar?

Then 2008 hit, and everything changed. My business started struggling, but we kept our team employed as long as we possibly could. By 2012, we had to face reality: it was over. For the first time in my life, I was facing unemployment. We sold our house, packed up our lives, and moved away so I could take a job making 40% of what I earned working for myself.

That rock-bottom moment changed everything.

I made myself a pledge: this would never happen again. I went back to school at 35 to finish my bachelor's degree while working full-time. Found a stable federal job. Earned my master's degree and became a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Started actually saving for retirement instead of just talking about it. And most importantly — we got out of debt.

And here's what I really learned -- it wasn't about the money itself. It was about changing our habits, improving how my wife and I communicated about finances, and modeling something different for our kids than the financial chaos we'd been living in.
My wife and I got serious about following the Ramsey Baby Steps and I recently became a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach. I made that choice to follow an approach that actually works for families who want to break the cycle of "nothing to show for it."

Our result? We paid down over $200,000 in debt and completely transformed our family's relationship with money. More importantly, we broke the cycle of financial stress that was quietly eating away at our peace of mind.

Financial coaching isn't about building wealth or complex investment strategies. It's about changing behaviors and habits. It's about reducing the financial stress that is a burden to our family, building financial health that you can actually maintain, and building a legacy for your children by future proofing. It's about giving families the tools and skills to make smart money decisions — and then passing those skills down to your kids.

Here's the reality: as fathers and parents, we set the financial tone for our families. Our kids watch how we handle stress, how we talk about money, how we make decisions under pressure. Whether we like it or not, we're teaching them about money every single day — the question is, what are we teaching them?

That's why my coaching focuses on the whole family system. Because real financial change happens when everyone's on the same page — not when one person tries to fix everything alone.

Your kids are watching how you handle money. What habits do you want them to learn?

If you're ready to stop wondering where your paycheck goes and start building healthy money habits your family can actually stick with, let's talk. I've been in your shoes, and I know the way out.

I'm glad you're here.
